Dr. Lytle has also been very active in the Glendale Academy of Dentists, where he served as Past President. He is a member of several other professional associations and societies, such as the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Grant Nishimura, DDS, MD
Dr. Nishimura then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at the UCLA Medical Center, gaining extensive experience in dental implant reconstruction, oral surgery, complex trauma, orthognathic surgery, pathology, and anesthesia. He continued his surgical research contributing to several publications and has presented at national / international meetings. During his 6-year residency program, he also obtained his MD at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and completed a General Surgery Internship at UCLA.
Growing up with his father who was a professor in restorative and implant dentistry, he has a special appreciation for the role surgery impacts dental esthetics, function and oral health. In his free time, Dr. Nishimura enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants with his wife.
Nicholas Nikchevich, DDS
Dr. Nicholas Nikchevich is a third generation, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His grandfather, Dr. Richard Tokuyama, started the practice in Thousand Oaks in 1975 and his father, Dr. Donald Nikchevich, has led the practice for over three decades.
Southern California. Following his undergraduate studies he continued his professional training at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. In dental school, he received several awards for academic and clinical merit including the Robert W. McNaulty Award given to the valedictorian of the dental school class and the Charles L. Pincus Award for excellence in esthetic dentistry. He was also nominated as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
After graduating, he matched to his top ranked residency program at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, the same academic center where his grandfather and father both trained. There he gained extensive experience with complex facial trauma cases, orthognathic surgery and dentoalveolar procedures and served as Chief Resident during his final year of training.
